I even tried to change it to ASIO - but the ADIO4ALL control panel doesn't see a WDM driver. The current setting is on WAVEOUT, just like it was before. My system says the driver is working properly. In the upper righthand corner it says: "Audio device closed" Please configure your audio device in Preferences/Audio" even my Audacity WAV editor - all are functioning with Audio - but NOT Reaper. Upon coming back into windows - all AUDIO is working fine EXCEPT Reaper! In otherwords - window's sounds, media from the net, etc. After doing that cleanly - I rebooted the machine. Those were the only two, so I grabbed the HD audio one and installed. It came up with two drivers for audio: one was creative labs and the other was this: Audio: SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio, Driver. Alex - I went out to the DELL support site - drivers/downloads - and entered my PC's specific info in their little search algorithm.
